RESTORATIVE CIRCLES - ACS
At MESC we believe in fostering a strong classroom culture that encourages students to value relationships as they are established and take responsibility for their learning.
Utilising the Real Schools approach of, “Restorative Circles,” provides our teaching staff with a tool that is embedded in their everyday practice. Implementing Restorative Practices and specifically circle structures in schools is an authentic and effective method of facilitating the development of positive relationships and developing social and emotional capabilities of young people.
When building positive relationships becomes a priority for schools, students report increased feelings of belonging, self-worth and connectedness which results in enhanced student participation, engagement, achievement and positive wellbeing.
