Term 4 - Week 1
Mission Mayhem has begun today! With students joining groups, organising equipment and creating rosters and posters to promote their Mission stall. This is an event the children look forward to each year and they place so much time and effort into running their individual stall to raise as much money as they can for Catholic Mission.
So start saving coins and join us to raise as much money as we can on Friday 25th of October.
Our inquiry or integrated curriculum focuses have continued to encourage students to be actively involved in the process of inquiring and discovering. They think critically, analyze information, and make conclusions based on what they are investigating. This term they are investigating the location of Australia’s neighbouring countries and discovering through stories, information about other countries around the world. They will explore the diverse characteristics of other places, the similarities and differences between the climates of different places, and their demographic characteristics.
Our text this week "The Red Bridge" takes us on a journey with a little girl who has moved to Vietnam. We investigate the Red Bridge that appears in the story and use this information to construct well-structured paragraphs.
