From the School Leadership Team

Fete

Thank you to so many of our school families who joined us for our Community Fete last Sunday and many who volunteered to assist on the day, as well as operating stalls. We were blessed with amazing weather, and our school choir gave a wonderful performance. It was wonderful to see our children and families enjoying the rides, stalls and activities on offer and having a chance to connect for a chat over the course of the day. We appreciate the generosity of the many sponsors who supported the day and all of our donors who assisted with prizes for the raffle. The proceeds will be a great blessing in supporting a number of church and school programmes and initiatives. Our thanks to the Fete Committee for all of their hard work in ensuring the day was a great success, particularly Joel Schiller and Rob Mills.

Brain Chemistry

At GGLPS we help students to better understand the brain and what can be done to help with learning.

Relationships, breaks, mindfulness and breathing are all important factors that support brain health and the ability to want to learn.

This week, Justin writes about some of the important chemicals our brains need including dopamine, serotonin and endorphins.

I hope you enjoy the read and can use some of the strategies that Justin suggests, to support healthy brain function.
