Year 7/8 Knock Out Cricket
Last week Endeavour sent the Year 7/8 Boys Knockout Cricket Team to Golden Grove High School to play their first-round game in the Statewide Cricket T20 Knockout Cricket Tournament. The boys won the toss and elected to bowl. They started the game very well taking two wickets within the first within the first 5 overs and only allowing 12 runs. Golden Grove ended up going 8/74 after the conclusion of the 20 overs, with some impressive bowling performances from Joel Hitch and Akshar Gadhavi both securing three wickets each. It was over to our boys to bat and chase the runs, which we were able to do in only 10 overs going 3/76 thanks to an impressive knock by Tom Hensing making 36 off just 20 balls.
We are proud of the performance the boys showed in the first round, and now we focus on the second round!
SACSA Table Tennis
In Week 2, Endeavour sent six teams to SACSA Table Tennis, with three from Year 7/8 and three from Year 9/10. Day one of the carnival started with the Year 7/8s. The Year 7/8 boys’ teams finished 6th and 8th out of 18 teams in the competition. The 7/8 girls finished 9th out of 15 teams. All of the Year 7/8s played very well and improved as the day progressed, which was great to see. Day Two saw the 9/10s compete. The Year 9/10 boys finished 11th out of 16, while the girls gold team finished 7th out of 11 and the girls silver team finished 3rd, taking home the bronze medal.
We are proud of all teams who played some high-quality table tennis and held their own against each team they played!
Pedal Prix 2024
The last race of the 2024 Pedal Prix season has come to a close. The 24 hour race at Murray Bridge is the most gruelling of the season demanding the best from the riders. And the Endeavour teams brought their best. With 149 bikes competing across the weekend, there was stiff competition. Lil’Ripper finished 18th in class, an all time best, and Clipper 41st in class, out of 47. A phenomenal performance from both teams, amidst the chaos of the 24 hour race.
A special thanks is needed for Ms Barry and Ness Greenham for coordinating the riders and parents, Brenton Keast for being the mechanic, Chris for organising marshalling, and finally
Mr Hewson for running after school trainings and supporting at each event.

Stage 1 Outdoor Education Final Camp
In Week 2, the Stage 1 Outdoor Education class headed down south for their final camp of the year. Students participated in two surf lessons at Middleton Beach and camped at Waitpinga, in the beautiful Newland Head Conservation Park. We had some great weather across the two days, with all students having an absolute blast developing their surfing skills, most students going from never having surfed before, to being able to stand up on waves and even learning how to turn.
Students also had the opportunity to develop their camping skills including cooking dinner on a Trangia, setting up and sleeping in tents and collect evidence of their personal growth. That wraps up the last camp in Outdoor Education for the year and we are excited to see what 2025 has in store as we plan to explore some new areas of South Australia.

Students to St Paul Lutheran Sports Day
Four lucky Year 8s, all past students of St Paul Lutheran Primary School, were approached to assist at their Sports Day last Friday, as student ambassadors of Endeavour College. These students helped at various stations throughout the day, assisting staff when needed and encouraging students.
What a great example of the Connected Schools community in action.
The chance to give back to the community from which they came is always a highly valued experience and immensely appreciated by all. The boys even participated in the
Staff vs Students corner spry to conclude the day, on the staff team.
How the tables have turned!
Thanks St Paul Lutheran Primary School for an enjoyable and fulfilling service opportunity.
