Pattern Crazy In Foundation!

This term the Foundation, students have loved exploring and learning about patterns. We have made patterns with all different types of materials like playdough, leaves, chalk drawings even our own bodies when we made a ‘hat, no hat’ AB pattern. 

The Foundations have had such a fun time exploring the use of their maths resource caddies in their classroom and have really enjoyed having a range of materials at their fingertips. 

Foundation students across all classes have learnt all types of patterns such as AB, ABC, ABCD, ABB, AAB, AABB etc. Some students have explored different types of patterns such as growing patterns and different number patterns.
