Graduate Outcome Awards

Over the last fortnight, teachers have been on the lookout for students who show the Graduate Outcome of INTEGRITY.

Students who graduate from St Therese’s Primary School are people of INTEGRITY, who show a strong sense of justice.

Last week, we celebrated and acknowledged these students at our assembly with our awards presentation. We also acknowledged some students who were absent at our previous assembly with their awards.

Our next focus will be on the Graduate Outcome of WISDOM.

SSV Region Netball

The divisional boy's netball team had a great day and came out on top after going undefeated with one draw, making it to regionals in Swan Hill. At regionals the boys had an amazing time, finishing top of their pool, making it to the semi-finals against St Francis with a hard-fought game and won and made it to the grand final. They played Sacred heart and after a thrilling game came out on top by a goal, making it to states in Melbourne later this term. Just before the semi-finals Mrs Woods found 20 bucks on the ground and it gave us good luck for the finals. Thank you Mrs Woods for coaching us and making it to states back-to-back. - Ed P

The girls had a great day at the SSV netball making it to the grand final divisionals and taking home 2nd place. Aftermaking it through to the next round they unfortunately got knocked out in the semi-final. Even though the end result was disappointing, they still had an amazing time and we're grateful for the experience. - Perry W

Team VIC AFL Football

Congratulations Perry on representing your school and state in a sport you love at such a high level. She forgot to mention that Team VIC came away winners of the National Football Carnival which is an amazing effort by her and her teammates. Go Team VIC!!

During Week 4 of Term 3, I had the best opportunity to represent Victoria in one of my favourite sports, Football. The experience from playing in the Victorian Football League was incredible. I learnt so much and made so many new friends on the way. My favourite part of playing for Victoria was meeting people from different states and territories that shared the same number as you. We would swap badges and talk about our footy journey.  My favourite person that swapped badges with me was a girl from the Northern Territory her name was Emily and before she made the Northern Territory team, she never owned a pair of footy boots, she would just play with her bare feet. A special moment for me was when after the tournament we swapped our Vic clothes with other states (I got a NT training top).  Perry W

Got some old football boots lying around at home?

Some SEDA students are collecting boots to donate to those in need, just like some of the people Perry met recently. If you have some old boots taking up space at your place then bring them in and place them in the box outside Mrs. Woods PE office (Grade 5 Area).
