Message from the

Principal

Dear Families,

What a Fortnight We've Had!

It’s been an incredibly productive and rewarding two weeks for our school community. We’ve successfully completed our CESL Pulse Check, VRQA Review, and Essential Services Review—each one receiving outstanding praise for our organisation, exceptional school culture, high expectations for learning and attention to detail.

Our students were a credit to the school, welcoming visitors into classrooms and continuing their learning with confidence and calm. They truly showcased what makes our school such a special place.

I could not be prouder of our staff, students, and wider community. Thank you to each and every one of you for your ongoing contribution to making our school a place of high expectations, quality learning, and a welcoming environment for all.

And we’re not slowing down! Tomorrow, we welcome Classroom Mastery to our school. They’ll be observing our teachers and students in action, focusing on our classroom routines and the implementation of our behavioural framework.

Let’s keep the momentum going—there’s so much to be proud of, and even more to look forward to.

School Engagement Survey

Our staff, Year 4-6 students and 80 lucky families have been sent an invitation to complete our Catholic Education Sandhurst Engagement Survey. If you are one of the lucky families who received this link: please complete, take a screenshot of your evidence of completion, and email it to principal@stkennington.catholic.edu.au, and you will go into the draw for a $50 Woolworths voucher!

Principal’s Award

This week's recipient is:   Emilia

Emilia is an outstanding example of courage and integrity, sharing her story and advocating for the importance of acceptance and inclusion.

School Crossing

The campaign for upgraded safety measures on Lowndes Street continues. We met with the staff from the City of Greater Bendigo on Friday to again express our concern for our students' safety. If you have a moment, please write to the Council or our State Member to share your concerns and call for action. It is so important that they hear from you! We will continue to work with CESL on our next steps.

Supervision Hours (Repeat)

Please note the schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many, many children on the grounds prior to this time.

For the safety of your children, I am asking that they are not dropped off at school before 8:30 am.
