This fortnight's Spotlight is on....

Year 1

We're excited to welcome all of Year 1 students back for Term 3!

It's been a fantastic return to the classroom, with students diving straight into their learning. During English, they’ve been practising spelling words and dictation sentences using whiteboards – a fun and interactive way to build writing confidence.

In mathematics, students have been exploring the concepts of shape reflection (flip) and translation (slide). Through drawing, using technology, and creating patterns, they’ve been developing a strong understanding of how shapes move and change. We’re off to a great start and look forward to a term full of learning and growth!

Year 2

We’ve had a busy and exciting start to Term 3!

Our Year 2 students have been learning all about representing whole numbers through money, exploring coins, notes, and different ways to represent amounts. We've now moved on to discovering 2D and 3D shapes, identifying their features and having fun with hands-on activities.

We were delighted to welcome some grandparents to our classroom following our beautiful Grandparents Day liturgy. It was a special moment of connection and celebration. The Year Two students were busy writing about their favourite memory with their grandparents and displayed it in the classroom beautifully for all our visitors.

In Religion, we’ve been learning about the story of the Exodus. The children have been exploring how Moses led the Israelites to freedom, and they are currently working on art pieces to show their favourite image from the story.
