Volunteering at school

We welcome parents to be involved in school life.
There are many ways you can be involved in what is happening at school:
- Attend Masses and Liturgies with the school community every Wednesday. Your child's community will send out an invite when they are attending. You can however attend at any time. If this is new for you, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher or the CIRE Leader, Sarah Chappell.
- Come along to Coffee and Connect - a parent group that meets twice a term for an opportunity to connect over a cuppa and build connections with the parent community.
- Athletics Day and Interschool Sports Events - Come along and cheer your child on as they participate in various events both track and field. If you would like to volunteer to help out, you must have a Working with Children Check (see below).
- Helping on excursions/camps - this is where parents come on excursion to increase the number of adults supporting the event. Parents are inducted to help and understand they will not be going for their own child.
- Joining the School Advisory Committee - this group meets 6 times per year to look at what is happening in the school and to act as a forum for the principal to get parent views into decisions being made.
All volunteers MUST hold a Working With Childrens Check which is a free process which ensures that every person within the school is checked to be child safe.
Every year volunteers will participate in a Child Safe induction and complete the
Child Safe Code of Conduct Parents Agreement.
