Principal's Report

Father’s Day Celebrations

This Sunday we celebrate Father’s Day – a special time to recognise and give thanks for all fathers and significant men in our lives, and in the lives of the children in our school community.

During the week, our traditional Father’s Day Stall was held, and it was wonderful to see the wide variety of gifts on offer. A big thank you to our P&F for their organisation and efforts in making this possible.

This morning we also enjoyed our “Danishes for Dad” breakfast, which was a great success. It was lovely to see such a fantastic turnout, with children and dads sharing a special start to the day together.

We wish all fathers and special men in our community a very happy and joy-filled Father’s Day this Sunday.

A Father’s Day Prayer

Loving God,

We give thanks for the gift of fathers and all the special men who guide and nurture us. Bless them with wisdom, patience, and strength,

and may they know the love and gratitude of their families.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Athletics Carnival

We had a fantastic day at the Athletics – one of our most successful in many years! The results were a wonderful reflection of our strong PE and Sport program, along with the hard work, training, and practice that went into preparing for the day. Congratulations to all students who participated so enthusiastically. We look forward to seeing many of our athletes’, 18 in total, progress to the next stage of competition.

Principal Appointment Consultation

As we prepare for the appointment of a new Principal in 2026, families are invited to contribute their thoughts and feedback. A consultation link is attached to this newsletter. Your input is greatly valued in shaping the leadership of our school into the future.

Grade 5 Camp – Campaspe Downs, Kyneton

Our Grade 5 students had a wonderful camp experience at Campaspe Downs. Their behaviour and participation were excellent – a real credit to themselves, their families, and our school community.

Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including:

  • Abseiling (the Centipede)
  • Flying fox
  • Archery
  • Aero Ball
  • Night-time trivia quiz
  • Basketball, table tennis, and board games

It was great to see everyone fully engaged, and technology certainly wasn’t missed! Tuesday night was a very restful one for all involved! Thanks to Mr Geary, Miss Smith, Mrs Thurley, Mr Morris and Miss Thomas for all the preparation and attention it was a great time away full of learning and fun.

Grade 4 Excursion – Melbourne

Next Friday, our Grade 4 students will travel to Melbourne for an exciting excursion. Highlights will include a visit to the MCG and other key landmarks. This promises to be a rich and memorable learning experience. An early start will enable us to make the most of our time away and what an exciting time of year to be in Melbourne! Go Cats!

Parents and Friends

Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 10th September at 7pm in the Conference room
