Faith foundations: Exploring key truths with 'The Ology'

In our recent Bible lessons, students have been journeying through The Ology—a rich, engaging resource that introduces key theological concepts in a systematic and age-appropriate way. This approach helps build a solid foundation of understanding about who God is and how we relate to Him.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve explored powerful themes that tie together core truths from Scripture:

  • The theology of change – We began by reflecting on the truth that while we change, God never does. His character, promises, and love remain constant. This unchanging nature of God provides us with a steady anchor in the midst of life’s uncertainties.

  • The armour and protection of God – Students learned about the spiritual armour God provides for His people, as described in Ephesians 6. We discussed how truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God equip us to stand firm in our faith and resist spiritual challenges.

  • The Holy Spirit as our helper – We’ve also been exploring the role of the Holy Spirit—our Comforter, Counsellor, and Guide. The children discovered how the Spirit works in us to produce spiritual fruit and empower us to live in a way that honours God.

  • Running the race of life – Finally, we looked at the metaphor of life as a race, inspired by Hebrews 12:1–2. With Jesus as our goal and heaven as our prize, students are learning to persevere with faith, knowing that God walks with us every step of the way.

Through these lessons, children are not only gaining theological knowledge but also learning how to apply these truths to their daily lives. It’s a joy to watch them grow in understanding and faith as they dig deeper into God’s Word.

Thank you for continuing to support and pray for our Bible lesson time—these moments are planting seeds of faith that will last a lifetime.

Da Vinci Decathlon

Recently, eight of our BP students represented us at the Da Vinci Decathlon, hosted by St Peter’s Girls. Our SP campus also sent a team.

This prestigious academic competition challenges students across ten disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics and Chess, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography, and Legacy. Students have been working hard all year towards this in Extended Learning lessons.

I’m delighted to share that our BP team achieved outstanding results:

  • 1st Place in Legacy
  • 3rd Place in Mathematics
  • And a special shout-out to our SP team, who received the Cleanest Table Award!

Please join me in congratulating the following students on their fantastic achievement if you see them around:

  • Derrick X
