Year 3/4 News 

READING:

We have been learning all about what makes a GOOD summary. Students have practised verbal and written summaries of both fiction and non fiction texts. We have been using the strategy of "somebody, wanted, but, so, then..." to summarise the important parts of a fiction text. Students have also been summarising non-fiction texts by identifying the topic, main ideas and text features used. 

MATHS:

We have finished our unit on location for this term. Students enjoyed using the bee-bots to give and follow directions, as well as using grid references to play a game of battleships! This week we have started our measurement unit, focusing on length.
