Italian Week

Carousel choice of cultural activities!

Week 5 roared to a halt for students of Italian who embraced the Italian tradition of 'La Dolce Vita' and stopped to smell the roses!

Italian classes engaged in a week of carousel-style table activities for students to choose from, or pose their own choice of cultural activity! The 'what to do' list ranged from the traditional favourite of the Italian twist on Monopoly, "Italy-opoly", to creating Venetian masquerade masks with jewels, felt, feathers and rich Carnevale style.

The popular student choice of cultural Blookets embraced international identity and included an eclectic mix of topics from flags, to food and global logos.

The Italian tradition of region and community came to life through the annual whole school Italian Treasure Hunt in which all roads did lead to Rome and every avenue was exhausted to find the 20 spellbinding images of the eternal city of Bella Roma!

Tutte le strade portano a Roma!

All roads lead to Rome!

Our lunch of pizza, soft drink and gelato for the students of Italian was a hit and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Italian Week will return next year to time travel back into the cobblestoned roads of Ancient Rome.
