From The Team

On Monday, the Foundation students spent the morning at the Knox Community Gardens as part of the Healthy Eating So Kids Thrive program. We were so lucky to have beautiful sunny weather as the students tasted honey near the beehive, planted lettuce seedlings, learnt about the role of worms in composting, and helped to make Japanese pancakes. Thank you to our parent helpers who helped make the morning run smoothly.

We are starting to discuss our Buddies excursion to the Melbourne Museum in a few weeks, as we finish our Integrated Unit on Dinosaurs. It is always a highlight to see the Year 6 students, under the supervision of adults, look after their Buddies with such enthusiasm and care. Please remember to look on Compass for more information about this event.

The students have been practising dictation using known words and sounds.

We’re Going on a Shape Hunt!

Set yourself a timer for 10 minutes and count how many different 2D shapes you can find around your house. This is a fun game to play with a family member too!
