Three Year Old Kinder News

This week the three-year-old group has been learning more about what it means to be kind to one another, to play safely at Kinder, and to respect one another’s work and play. We have seen more friendships begin to blossom as the children connect with those they haven’t played with before. They are all beginning to build a strong sense of community, which is wonderful to see. 

Four Year Old Kinder News

What a wonderfully busy week it’s been in our 4-year-old groups!

We’ve made the most of the beautiful autumn weather, spending lots of time exploring the school grounds and outdoor yard. The children have been full of energy and curiosity as they connect with nature and each other.

Our kinder buddies program continues to be a highlight, with friendships and connections growing stronger with each session—it’s been so lovely to watch these relationships blossom.

We also had a fire evacuation drill this week, which ran very smoothly. The children were calm, attentive, and full of thoughtful questions afterward. It was a great opportunity to practise safety in a supportive and engaging way.

The Marram group have been interested in making shakers and musical instruments. We have been using rhythm sticks to play along to music and are now creating our own musical instruments to use during group time. 

In Gawarn, we’ve been talking about the fallen leaves and using the ones we collected to create some beautiful hanging leaf decorations. The children were still enthusiastic about crafting, exploring a variety of materials to express themselves creatively. They also had a great time digging with the excavators outdoors, practising their gross motor skills.

• Please label all pieces of clothing, especially with all the layers we need for the weather at the moment!
