Hello Foundation Families,

 

What a fun week we have had! In Maths we introduced subtraction where we explored different resources and strategies to solve problems. In Reading, we investigated Non Fiction texts and in Writing we looked at persuasive pieces. The students had to write what their favourite animal was and what they thought the best place in the world was, using the connective 'because' to state their argument. 

 

On Thursday we went to Chesterfield Farm. We had such a fun time! Here are some things the students enjoyed:

Levi (FT)- I liked seeing all the animals and feeding them.

Shyaama (FE)- I liked patting the bunny and feeding the goats.

Liam (FE)-  I liked feeding the animals.

Jacob (FT)- I liked the tractor ride.

Alannah (FT)- I liked feeding the goats. 

Samin (FA)- I liked the dog show.

Mia (FA)- I liked the bunnies

Xavier (FA)- I liked the funny pigs

Akbar (FA)- I liked the cow milking show. It was so fun milking the cow. 

Amira (FA)- I liked watching the dog show. The dog was so smart!

 

We got to milk a cow, watch a work dog called Scout round up the sheep, do a trail walk, ride a tractor and much more. It was amazing way to connect what we have been learning in Guided Inquiry to a real life farm experience. 

 

HOME TALK

We have sent home talk home today in Orange Folders to assist with some research for their upcoming information reports. Instructions are on the back of the paper.
