Highlight
Selamat siang,
This week in the classroom has been both engaging and productive. A highlight was diving into our unit on probability in Maths. Students showed great curiosity as they explored chance events, experimented with spinners and dice, and began using the language of likelihood with increasing confidence. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and growing understanding shine through in discussions and hands-on activities.
In English, we’ve been focusing on constructing persuasive writing pieces using the TEEL paragraph structure. Students have been developing their writing skills and refining their ability to express clear arguments, supported by evidence and strong explanations. It’s been great to see their confidence grow as they apply these skills in structured and meaningful ways.
Our Guided Inquiry unit continues to stay exciting, as students are now designing surveys to take to others across the school. This is part of our effort to gather student voice and use them to drive meaningful change. Building on their observations from our recent walk around the school, students are thinking critically about areas for improvement and how they can make a positive impact through thoughtful, student-led initiatives.
Stay warm and have a wonderful week,
Kathy, Ros, Julia, Mandy, Fatima and Suzie.
