Camp
Our year 6 students have had a wonderful week at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort. They have participated in a wide range of activities including surfing lessons as well as beach and pool time. The weather has been perfect, and the staff have reported that the student’s behaviour has once again, been excellent! We love receiving feedback like this and are proud of our students for upholding all our ENPS CARE values! The photographs that have been coming through certainly have the ‘resort’ feel. As commented by one of our parents ‘they won’t want to come home!’
Camping programs require lots of preparation beforehand to make them run as smoothly as this one has. Thank you to the staff for all the additional work that you have put into this camp to make it such an engaging experience for our students. An abundance of energy is also required from the adults attending for the 4 days. Thank you to all the adults attending that have made this adventure so jam packed with fun for our students. We appreciate your efforts very much!
School Council
We are still looking for an additional community member to join us. Our next meeting is Thursday March 20th at 7:00pm in the staffroom. Please contact me if you think this might be something that interests you as I’d love to chat to you about this opportunity.
Removal of classrooms
As we shared last year, the Department will be removing rooms 21 and 22 soon. A variety of tradespeople have been making site visits in preparation for the removal of the classrooms. We are looking forward to the increased playground space that this will create for our students.
ICY Pole Day
Thank you to the PFA for organising this for our students last Friday. We all appreciate you creating the stall and students very much enjoy being able to pick up a zooper dooper on a hot day (I think they would say on any day, to be honest)
Walkathon
Our first whole school community activity will be held on Tuesday April 1st. Classes will start working on their banners next week and keep a lookout for the purple sponsorship forms that will come home with students. One of the fun aspects of the day is the BEST BANNER award. The class with the BEST BANNER will have a sausage sizzle lunch with me in Term 2. The walkathon is always a fun event and every year we receive feedback from the public on how joyful our students sound as they walk along the track enthusiastically projecting (aka yelling) their class chant.
Wishing our campers a restful weekend after a fun packed week and to the rest of the community, I wish you a relaxing time with your family.
