From the Educators

Hello everyone, my name is Anna and I am an educator at LNPS OSHC. I am fortunate to have been working here for five months and have enjoyed each moment. At OSHC I have loved getting to build new connections with the students and staff which has been very rewarding. From my time here, I have enjoyed collaborating with the students to help them develop in various aspects of their journey. My favourite part of working at OSHC is being able to engage with the children through play and watching them develop new friendships. 

Over the last week, our big idea was fun fitness. Fun fitness has encouraged the children to implement healthy habits in their life outside of school. During the week, we prompted various activities for the children to try. Some of these activities included, meditation and yoga, an obstacle course, skipping rope challenges, and more mindful and expressive activities. These activities have helped the children to stay physically active whilst also understanding the importance of emotional wellbeing. In addition to fitness fun, the children have been enjoying the new toys particularly the food store toy. The children have been using the food store to 'sell' items which has allowed them to understand monetary values. 

I am looking forward to supporting and working along side the students in the upcoming weeks and observing them further develop.
