Leonis House

2025 Leonis House Leadership Team
Ms Angelique Phillip-Kemp, Leonis House Leader
Hello, St John's community,
My name is Miss Kemp, and I am excited to start my journey as the new Leonis House Leader this year. I have been at St John's for 8 years as a Mathematics teacher, and most recently as the Pastoral Programs and Events Coordinator, facilitating and organising key school events such as the Year 7 Camp, Year 11 Formal, Year 12 Graduation, etc. I have a passion for teaching Mathematics, particularly VCE, and helping students understand something or do something they didn't think they could.
I am looking forward to this new challenge as Leonis House Leader. I hope to strengthen a sense of belonging within the House and to create a sense of community where we can all help each other. I am excited to work alongside my Leonis House Captains, Quratullane and Sean, as we embark on this journey in 2025 together.
CHEER ON THE MIGHTY LEONIS! 🦁🦁🦁🦁
Quratullane Ali, Leonis House Captain
Hello everyone,
My name is Quratullane Ali, and it's an honour to be your Leonis 2025 House Captain!
My favourite subject in school is English. English is such a crucial subject, and I enjoy the creative aspect of writing. One of my main hobbies outside of school is poetry and teaching. Poetry is a platform I use to express my emotions and learn about others. Additionally, I attend a Religious Community Centre twice a week and voluntarily teach children about my faith, Islam. This opportunity gave me a perspective that I never had before, which is the significance of being a teacher in the community. Teachers inspire, create a safe space, help us grow into young individuals and nourish our minds with knowledge. Having first-hand experience of being in the teachers' shoes made my respect for teachers grow even more! What I am looking forward to as your Leonis House Captain is bringing back the fun and safe feeling in the school community. I want to achieve this by being a helping hand whenever someone is in need of support and making sure that school events are engaging. Please don't ever feel held back from asking for support from Sean and me.
I look forward to working with Sean and Miss Kemp to uphold Leonis' house spirit, this House Aquatics!!
ARE YOU READY LEONIS??! 🦁🦁🦁🦁
Sean Pascual, Leonis House Captain
Hi everyone!
I’m Sean Pascual, your Leonis House Captain for 2025!
Just a little bit about me: The subject I am most passionate about is Visual Communications Design because I love designing and unleashing my creativity. Surprisingly, I also enjoy Math! Even with the heavy workload, I find problem-solving enjoyable. I'm also a big fan of sports and staying active, especially basketball and volleyball (Warriors fan).
As House Captain, what am I most excited about? The House Competitions—and, of course, winning! My goal is to help lead Leonis towards victory and claim that Championship Cup that we already achieved 2 years ago - alongside my amazing Co-Captain, Q, and the BEST House Leader - Miss Kemp! More than that, I wish to help build a stronger more connected Leonis House - a Leonis house that takes on any challenge together, where every effort is valued, and our pride as a house shinesshines through in everything we do!
Let's make 2025 our year! 🔥
GO LEONIS!!! 🦁🦁🦁🦁
