Weekly Recap: Year 1/2

Maths & Chinese

This week in Maths, we have been exploring 3-digit numbers and playing the Place Value Knockout game. Using place value cards helps us understand the value of each digit and how numerals are written correctly. In Chinese, we are learning to say and recognize numbers 1 to 6 in Chinese characters. It is challenging but fun!

Literacy:

In Literacy, students have been practicing forming anticlockwise letters. They finished the ‘Lion Inside’ Text Base Unit by creating a lion or mouse craft and writing about what they have learnt about the text. In writing the students have been learning about recounts and have written recounts on the Chinese New Year Day.
