Year 9 Leader – Syeda (Fatima) Bukhari

Year 8 Leader – Meliha Metric

Year 7 Leader – Maya Obeid

This term we have seen the establishment of a Senior Study Group to run alongside Homework Club, as well as lunchtime clubs which provide a safe, calm environment for younger students and our female students to establish and develop connections.

We have also been busy planning International Women’s Day and a variety of social awareness days, which are outlined below.

This year, we would really love our families to get involved so please keep an eye out for ways to engage in the various days we have planned throughout the year.

Coming up:

International Women’s Day

We would like to hear the stories of the incredible women in our school community to acknowledge International Woman’s Day at JFC on the 7th March.

It is important to us at JFC to celebrate the wonderful women that have shaped our students.

Stories will be read out in classes during the week of the 6th of March and displayed around the school (if permission is given).

What we need from you:

  1. Your story – of an event, personal achievement, overcoming challenges, whatever your story is, we want to hear it!
  2. Written by yourself or your child
  3. Handwritten or typed
  4. Printed
  5. No more than 500 words
  6. Image optional
  7. A note indicating if you prefer we do not display your story
  8. Send it to school with your child by Tuesday 4th March
