Senior East & Green Classes
Since starting our Senior Program, the Senior East class has been busy with lots of exciting activities. They’ve been working on framed wall art for their Business Enterprise subject, as well as the “Trees for Life” project, aiming to grow 150 gum trees. Students have joined in at their own comfort levels—some taking part in every step, while others chose the parts that suited them best, especially when it came to sensory preferences.
Excursions and hands-on experiences have really added to their days, including a trip to the Botanic Gardens with a picnic, bush walks, and visits to Fergusson Square Park. Cooking and food prep have been big favourites, and they’ve also been building their addition skills in Maths. It’s been great to see how much they’re enjoying and engaging in all these activities.

The Green Class has had a wonderful start to the term, with a strong focus on establishing consistent routines, building positive relationships, and, most importantly, having fun along the way. The Green Class have been working hard to learn classroom expectations and build confidence in their daily routines. We have also prioritised creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected. It has been fantastic to see students engaging enthusiastically in activities, showing that learning really does thrive when it’s enjoyable and meaningful.
