Looking Ahead to 2027 at St Paul

St Paul Lutheran School is planning for a new season, with a move to a multiage (composite) class structure from 2027. This approach supports students to learn at their developmental stage, fosters peer learning and leadership and enables flexible, responsive teaching.

Multiage classes are widely used across primary schools and are a familiar and successful part of St Paul’s own history. This change will help ensure a sustainable, stable structure that continues to support high-quality learning and wellbeing for all students.

We recognise the importance of walking this journey together. Families are warmly invited to join a community conversation, either in person or online, to hear more, ask questions and share their perspectives in a respectful, relational setting.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we live and learn together in Christ.

Reconciliation Week at St Paul

This week, our community joins schools and organisations across Australia in marking National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June), a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in meaningful ways.

This year’s theme, “All In,” is a powerful call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day. It reminds us that reconciliation is not a spectator activity: it requires each of us to step forward, take responsibility and actively work towards justice, respect and right relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

For us at St Paul, this deeply connects with our calling to live and learn together in Christ. Being “All In” invites us to listen with humility, honour the stories and cultures of First Nations peoples and act with compassion in our daily relationships. It is not just something we acknowledge for a week, but a way of living that shapes who we are as a community.

This morning, staff members of St Paul, Dianne Brown and Tania Burgan, attended the Reconciliation SA Breakfast alongside two of our senior children, Archie and Jamhari. This meaningful experience offered an opportunity to hear powerful stories, reflect on the ongoing journey of reconciliation and consider how each generation plays a role in shaping a more hopeful future.

Across the school, students are engaging in learning that promotes understanding, respect and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. These experiences help nurture hearts committed to walking together in reconciliation.

As a community, may we be encouraged to be “All In”.

Disco

Thank you to all of the parents and caregivers who volunteered their time to support at the Disco last Friday, and also to the staff who made the event possible. It was wonderful to see the children dancing and socialising in our transformed hall space.
