Year 5/6 Cluster News Term 4 Week 9

Shirts 

Future Year 6 student shirts and jumpers have been designed and are ready to order. Sample shirts and jumpers are in the 5/6 rooms for you to try on. Order forms are next to the samples and need to be filled out and signed by parents, either before or after school. These will be available until Wednesday next week so please make this a priority.  

Literacy  

This week students have started their final writing piece for this year. They have created a Christmas village for Inquiry and will be writing a piece that relates to this. Information regarding this can be found on Microsoft Teams.  

Inquiry 

This week, students have begun a new learning experience which will develop their understanding of electrical circuits. Students are working in groups to build their community building for a Christmas village.  

End of Year HOYTS Excursion 

As part of our end of year celebration, Year 5 and 6 students will be going to HOYTS this Friday to watch the movie, Trolls. Lunch will be provided on the day with orders being completed at school.

Graduation Service 

On Wednesday the 13th of December, we will have our graduation service for our Year 6 students. The service will be an opportunity to celebrate our Year 6 students and their time at GGLPS. The service will begin at 7pm. Students will need to arrive at classrooms at 6:45pm while parents take their seats in the Worship Centre. 

Just a reminder students need to have a fully charged iPad, a keyboard, headphones, hat and a drink bottle every day.
