Year 1/2
Year 1/2 Cluster News Term 4 Week 9
Thank you:
Thank you for your support and encouragement this year. It is a busy job, but we do it because we love to see your children flourish. We are really proud of all they have achieved. As you read their reports, please remember that this is only one indicator of their progress. As you look at their books, which we will send home shortly, you will be able to see the growth that has taken place. We encourage to chat with your child about what they are most proud of this year and what they have enjoyed learning about.
Wednesday 13th final day
Students last day is Wednesday the 13th of December. Students will be finishing at normal time of 3.07 and closing chapel is at 2.00pm. You are more than welcome to come and join us.
P&F Funday
Reminder on Tuesday the 12th we will be having a fun day thanks to P&F. Students will be allocated a time to engage in the activities and then they will be having a sausage and icy pole for lunch. If your child does not like sausage or will not eat it, please make sure they have something else in their lunch box.
Christmas Cards:
If your child has cards they have written please get them to give them to us at the start of the day and we will get them to hand them out at the end of the day.
Take home books:
Please return the take home book pouch and their take home books to school. Students will not be taking home any take home books or interest books in Week 8. Their take home pouch will stay at school and be given to their new teacher. Please ensure all books are brought back and their take home pouch is brought back too.
Stationery:
We are very mindful of ensuring that the stationery purchased for your child is used. Any stationery leftover from this year will be kept at school and passed on to your child’s new teacher, or sent home with books. Things kept at school, for both Year 1s and 2s, will be a pair of scissors, ruler, black Artline pen and eraser.
Library books
If your child did not return their books, please send them back ASAP.
Books:
We will be sending books and craft home in take home folders in Week 8. Please take everything out of the take home pouches each night to ensure they don’t keep bringing them back to school. Please note some items will be kept at school and moved up into new classes.
