Advent Wreath Blessing Assembly

Last Friday morning for Assembly Father Jackson came to bless our class Advent Wreaths. The Advent wreaths are a special symbol of God’s unending circle of love for us as we prepare our hearts and take time to remember the importance of the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ.  Father Jackson shared some prayers and blessed the wreaths and candles with Holy Water.

Each class will now incorporate the Advent Wreaths into their morning prayer ritual each day and take time to reflect and pray as a class community.

A big thank you to Father Jackson for attending this special assembly and assisting us in learning more about the Advent Season and blessing our wreaths and candles.

Grateful-Thanks.

Thank you to our Altar Servers

Final Training Session and Picnic Lunch

This week our Altar Servers had their final training session for the year with Father Jackson.  Father Jackson ran the students through a whole Mass with all the students taking turns in performing various tasks.

We are certainly very blessed to have such wonderful priests in our Church, always helpful and full of wonderful advice and assistance when training and modelling the correct procedures and responses for a Mass. Our students now are mostly certainly well versed in reverence and the order of the Mass, which also includes their assigned roles.

I am very proud of the students and their commitment to this wonderful ministry and also very grateful to Father Jackson for his involvement and assistance in training the students. Again, we are so blessed to have such a wonderful young priest within our Parish and we look forward to the New Year and greater involvement from our Altar Servers at weekend Masses.

The Parish also supplied the students with a lovely pizza lunch with fizzy drinks on the Parish lawns. It was such a lovely way for us all to come together and celebrate God’s good love for us and say thank you to our Parish priests Fr Jackson Saunders and Father Joe Taylor.
