PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

MS MICHELLE HAEUSLER - PRINCIPAL

It was wonderful to celebrate the graduation of our Year 12 students last Friday.  The Mass provided an opportunity for us to be grateful for the gifts of our Year 12 students and thank the staff and families that have supported them over the years, particularly this year.  The dinner was delicious and our students looked amazing in their formal attire.  They really looked like confident young adults about to take on the world.  The reflections provided by the school captains, Farirai, Ava, Charlotte and Thanh; parent, Kelly Hodgson and staff member, Luke Crow were met by many a tear, laugh and applause.  Thanks to Gerry Vytilingam and Suzy Haley for all of the work that went into preparing for this wonderful event.

Our Year 11 students complete their exams today.  They will have a day off on Monday and then begin Year 12 on Tuesday.  The Orientation Week will provide them with a glimpse into what the next twelve months will look like.  Most teachers will set holiday homework, and I encourage our Year 11 students to ensure that they plan their next eight weeks to ensure they begin 2024 on the right footing.

The St Mary MacKillop College Presentation Night will be held on Monday 11th December at 7:00pm in the Jubilee Centre. All parents and families are welcome to attend.

This week families will have received a letter from me via Operoo.  I have provided a large amount of information for 2024.  If you have not yet read this I would encourage you to.
