Year 8 Camp

My experience at Merricks Lodge was incredible, not only were the staff amazing but the activities were so much fun. We only stayed at Merricks Lodge for 1 night which was unfortunate because there were so many activities but luckily we all squashed them into the 2 action packed days. The activities that we did were Surfing, Crate Stacking, Archery, Aqua Challenges, Orienteering and writing postcards for our future selves in year 12.  We also had a lovely lady come in and give us a presentation about the marine life which was so empowering, and of course it wouldn’t be a camp without a trivia night at the end of the day, hosted by the amazing Mr Lyngcoln. My  favourite activity of the camp was definitely surfing because it was so much fun surfing with all my friends, but my favourite part of the camp was definitely the crate stack, when Mr Moloney joined in to help hold the crates along with about 5 other kids after I got to 12 crates.  I’m so grateful that I was able to attend this camp and spend a fantastic 2 days at Merricks Lodge with my friends, peers and teachers. -Adalia M
