Library Matters

Well, it's almost the "silly season" so:

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's (or woman's best friend. Inside a dog it's too dark to read!" Groucho Marx

It may be the end of term. It may be "no more teachers no more books" but the really good thing is that there is more time to read. "Do your shelf a favour" and grab that book from your own shelf that you have been meaning to read. Read over next year's texts. Check out the school library catalogue and access to ebooks, try the audio books, become a member of your local library. The local library is usually a cool place on a hot day with plenty of things going on plus an awesome collection of things to read. Other places to find books: a friend's house, a second hand shop, a bookshop or newsagent.

"Time spent reading a book.....is never wasted." Stewart Stafford

PS. Thanks for returning all your library books before the end of term.

Library Activities

The library is a fantastic place to go for lunchtime activities....we have Chess Club, Rubic's Cube Club, Games and of course you can come to read.

For the past six weeks, Gabe has been conducting Craft Workshops on Tuesdays and Fridays. A plethora of crafts have been produced in this time, from bracelets to bookmarks, to beaded animal keychains and Christmas Tree ornaments and cards. Some of the students have been making them as gifts to give and others are making them for themselves. Next week will be the last workshops - where they will be making Snow Globes. If you are interested in attending, pop into the library and ask Gabe if you can join in.
