 Dear Families,

Our school year finishes this Friday 15th December  for students at 2:30pm!  What a wonderful year we have had. We could not achieve all we have without  strong positive partnerships. Thank you to all  our Staff, Students and Families for your ongoing support throughout 2023.

Congratulations to Zahra who was awarded with the SJV  Spirit Community & Leadership award this evening. The award was presented by Hon. Clare O'Neil MP Federal member for Hotham

Parent Helper's Morning Tea

On Monday we had a morning Tea to thank Parent's for helping out over the year. We really appreciate all your help and support.

This year our parents and friends helped to raise:

Income:        $19,343.20

Expenses:    $  8,674.01

Profit:            $10,669.19

We thank you so much for all our families who generously supported all the events throughout 2023. The money has been used to purchase new furniture around the school.

Changes to the 2024 School Timetable

We wish to advise our school community that there will be some changes to the structure of the school day in 2024. These changes are to ensure that our school is aligned with the recent Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement.  There will be no changes to the start and finish time of the school day.  However there will be a change to the time of lunch and recess breaks.  The students will have their lunch break earlier from 11am-12pm each day and their recess break from 2pm - 2:30pm.  These changes will ensure that our school is able to continue to prioritise learning and teaching time, support our specialist program and allow for teachers to collaboratively plan and implement teaching and learning programs. 

 

Commitment TO CHILD SAFETY

On December 11th our 1/2's listened to the Proactive Policing Unit Youth Resource Officers about the importance of rules and how they keep us safe and to help them understand different forms of bullying and what to do.

Christmas is Coming!

At this time of year many students bring in cards for their friends. Please remember that we have a no food sharing policy so do not bring in candy canes or chocolates to share as some students may have allergies.

Last Day of school in 2023

Please note that the last day of school for 2023 will be FRIDAY 15th December. School will conclude at 2:30pm.  The 'Year 6 Guard Of Honour'  will take place from 2pm onwards.

 

Please note that the parish carpark  will be busy as Bingo finishes at 2pm.

  • STAFF return (no students)

Tuesday 30th January

  • Foundation Students 8:45am - 1pm

Wednesday 31st January

  • All students 8:45 - 3:15pm

Beginning of Year Testing Times:

Students in Years 1-6 will be required to attend school on Tuesday 30th January or Wednesday 31st January at an allocated time to complete literacy & numeracy testing.  

Year 1/2 Testing: Parents will be able to book an appointment for their child to complete testing on either Tuesday 30th January or Wednesday 31st January.  

Online bookings  opened on the  8th December 2023.

 Year 3 and 5: All students are required to attend school from 8:45 - 11:00 on Tuesday 30th January. All children will be required to be picked up. No child will be allowed to walk home.

We really appreciate all your help and support.  This year our parents and friends helped to raise:Income:        $19,343.20Expenses:    $  8,674.01Profit:            $10,669.19We thank you so much for all our families who generously supported all the events throughout 2023. The money has been used to purchase new furniture around the school.   Changes to the 2024 School TimetableWe wish to advise our school community that there will be some changes to the structure of the school day in 2024. These changes are to ensure that our school is aligned with the recent Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement.  There will be no changes to the start and finish time of the school day.  However there will be a change to the time of lunch and recess breaks.  The students will have their lunch break earlier from 11am-12pm each day and their recess break from 2pm - 2:30pm.  These changes will ensure that our school is able to continue to prioritise learning and teaching time, support our specialist program and allow for teachers to collaboratively plan and implement teaching and learning programs.  Commitment TO CHILD SAFETYOn December 11th our 1/2's listened to the Proactive Policing Unit Youth Resource Officers about the importance of rules and how they keep us safe and to help them understand different forms of bullying and what to do. Christmas is Coming!At this time of year many students bring in cards for their friends. Please remember that we have a no food sharing policy so do not bring in candy canes or chocolates to share as some students may have allergies.  Last Day of school in 2023 Please note that the last day of school for 2023 will be FRIDAY 15th December.
