The 2026 school year is not far from ending. Staff and students are looking forward to the end of the year and the opportunity for some R&R in preparation for 2026.

Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10 students will be participating in work experience over the coming two weeks. This is a great opportunity for students to explore the world of work and the industry areas that interest them.

Parents and carers have been kept informed through communication from Mrs Raper. All students who were present on Monday and Tuesday this week received a work experience induction as part of their final preparation. Staff will be visiting students over the next two weeks to check in with both the student and the employer.

A massive and sincere thank you goes to Mrs Amelia Raper, who has coordinated and organised the placements for all students, including travelling throughout the South West and Perth regions to undertake all the pre-site visits.

Best of luck to all students undertaking work experience.

Time for a Change

After 26 years at Harvey Ag, I have made the decision to take the opportunity for a change. I will be finishing my time at Harvey Ag at the end of the school year. I am not leaving the Ag system, as I will be returning to where it all began for me some 31 years ago at Cunderdin Ag. Beginning in 2026, I will take on a teaching role as the Building and Construction teacher.

It is certainly with sadness that I leave the Harvey Ag family, as I have many fond memories, connections, and relationships. Having seen the College grow from 48 students in 2000 to 178 enrolments in 2026, I have had the privilege of being part of a committed team passionate about agricultural education and the opportunities it provides for students.

I wish everyone a safe and merry Christmas. Enjoy the time with family and friends. I look forward to keeping in touch with the College community in the future.

Have a great break!
