Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hello Families and welcome to this week's newsletter. 

This edition of the newsletter is jampacked with content, so please take the time to access the different pages to explore what is going on around the school.  In addition to the normal content, we have also included a Cyber Safety page, with content for parents as we continue our commitment to the inform and empower initiatives at Ballan Primary School. 

Parent Teacher 3-way conferences

This Friday the 28th of Feb, the school is holding 3-way conferences from 8:30 am - 4 pm.  Students do not attend school on the day, other than when accompanied by their parents to the the interviews with their teachers.   If on the day your circumstances change and you can't make the allotted interview, please contact the school to let us know. 

Canteen

The canteen will be re-opening for service next week on Wednesday the 5th of March. 

Information will be sent out to families about the menu choices, however, I can share that the canteen will look different this year.   What you will notice is fewer options per week, yet a larger variety of choices over a term.   Our current plans are to rotate a smaller menu each week, that promotes healthier options and some old favorites.  We are still looking for more parent helpers in this space, so please don't hesitate to let us know if you are interested. 

Teeth on Wheels 

The dentist is back and onsite next Tuesday the 4th of March.   If your child is signed up this, please let is know if they will not be attending for some reason.
