Wellbeing

Hello Gilgai Plains families,
My name is Stacey Crosthwaite, and I am excited to join the school community as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader. It has been lovely to start to get to know and meet students and families so far. I have been working in Education for 10 years and I am passionate about supporting students to thrive. My role is to support students, teachers, and families in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
I am here to:
✔ Support teachers in creating safe, inclusive, and supportive classrooms.
✔ Upskill teachers with strategies to best support their students’ wellbeing.
✔ Assist families in accessing the right support services for their children.
✔ Work with our school community to ensure all students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
Mental health is continually changing, meaning that all students may experience challenges at different times, and their needs can change over time. As a school, we are committed to helping every student develop the ability to identify and acknowledge their emotions, use strategies to support themselves, and seek help when needed.
At Gilgai Plains Primary School, we want every student to feel supported and empowered to navigate life’s ups and downs. If you have any concerns or need support, please feel free to reach out.
I am looking forward to getting to know the community!
