3/4 Classroom News

What a fantastic start to 2025! We have settled in nicely to our new classes and classroom routines. Already so much learning has been done, along with Community Connections.
You will notice the students have been assigned to a SeeSaw class. This app enables us to share learning with you the parents, along with our students.
This week, we visited the Tongala Senior Citizens to build some vegetable gardens. We will continue to look after and maintain the vegetables until they're ready for harvesting. Joy and Phil from the Senior Citizens were extremely grateful and enjoyed chatting to the students as they worked away in planting the vegetables.
A focus in literacy this term is on Narrative Writing, fluent reading and finding the Main Idea in texts. The students will be concentrating on a text called 'Caravan' to practice their fluency and pull apart to investigate the structure of a narrative. Yesterday, they watched Mrs Haw and Ms Elborough read 'Caravan' in a fluent voice, while creating actions along the way. The students had fun listening to and copying the actions (as seen in the photos below).
We look forward to a great year of learning ahead.
