Principal's Page

Dear Families,
I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful weather on the weekend and feel back in routine for the 2025 school year. Students are extremely settled and engaged in their learning. It has been pleasing to note that many students have been participating in our lunchtime clubs and utilising outdoor equipment and resources ensuring that our playground is safe and inclusive for all students. Thank you for the time it took you to complete the 3-2-1 forms and attend Meet and Greets. It is so important that school staff and families work in partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please contact your child's teaching team, Megan Barber or myself.
Ash Wednesday
Next week we begin the liturgical season of Lent. This is a time leading up to Easter when we are encouraged to have a change of heart and try to be the best version of ourselves. It is a time when we aspire to be more rather than have more.
Stay and Play
It was great to see so many families enjoying Stay and Play a couple of weeks ago. We will be holding another opportunity this coming Friday. Families are invited to park their cars and stay and play in the Adventure Playground. Zooper Doopers will be available for students and siblings to enjoy.
Polperro - A Day in the Bay
Polperro/Canopy of Trees have organised a day of learning and activities on the bay on Sunday 23rd March. If you are interested in attending, please read more detailed information about what is on, including booking information in the document attached.
Prep - Year 3 Intensive Swimming Program
Thank you to Mrs Jenny Todd for facilitating the intensive swimming program for our students and to Jenny, Jackie, Bill, Leigh, Annabel, Nicole, Ebony and Leonie for volunteering to teach the lessons. It was wonderful to observe the progress students made throughout the week. Thank you staff and parents for supporting this important program.
Combined Schools Fete
Thank you to the parents who were able to attend Hotel Sorrento on Friday evening and for your generous support of the Chocolate Throw Stall. Our Combined School Fete is fast approaching! with less than three weeks away. Please read the page dedicated to the fete is this newsletter.
Just a reminder that with the fete beginning at 2:00pm, students will be dismissed at 1:30pm and will need to be collected by parents, on the school bus or booked into Their Care (After School Care.) Valet will lookslightly different as we won't have access to the playground but we will explain how this will work closer to the day. The school bus will be running at this time and Their Care (After School Care) is available for students who cannot be collected. If your child/ren usually walk to meet you, please let the school know via email as you can understand that we need to be extremely vigilant on this day. We appreciate your assistance with this.
