From the Library Resource Centre (LRC)

October Holiday Break

The Library will be open for Year 12 students over the Spring holiday break, but only for the last week (Tuesday 8th October to Friday 11th October). The SLRC will be closed for the first week of the holiday break, and Monday 7th October being the public holiday.

This is to help Year 12 in their preparation for the HSC examinations. Opening hours will be from 8.30am to 4.30pm weekdays.

The SLRC will then reopen on Tuesday 15th October, when Term 4 resumes for students.

While the SLRC has HSC resources and past HSC exams, there are also HSC resources at BMCC library branches – Blaxland, Springwood and Katoomba. Details can be found on the BMCC library website: https://library.bmcc.nsw.gov.au/client/en_AU/default .

If you click on the tab “Youth and HSC Resources” on the bottom right of the page, you will then find 2 tabs labelled “HSC resources” (information on what is available for study purposes, and databases) and “HSC collection” (items for students to borrow). There is also a link to the “YA newsletter” that students can subscribe to for the latest information and events for young people on the Mountains.

Wishing Year 12 students All the Best for their HSC exams.

The Story Thief is about mothers and daughters, love, loss and the power of words. Ultimately it is about how each of us must find our own way to live.

Free to attend, with light refreshments supplied. Bookings are essential. See link: BMCC Library - Author in Conversation
