An exciting new learning initiative will begin in Term 4 at Sacred Heart.

After lunch and our school gathering assembly on Mondays, we will break into groups to take part in different, student selected learning experiences. The Foundation students will take part in Blue Earth cooperative games and the Year Six students will work with Marty on transition to secondary school, Graduation and enjoy time together as a cohort- in their last term together at primary school.

This week, the Year 1 - 5 students selected which activities they'd like to take part in, from a range of learning experiences offered in a 3 week rotation.

The learning experiences include: Lego Masters, cooking, painting, art, gardening, Blue Earth games and Yarn Craft.

These experiences we hope will provide students time together mixing with children from different classes, hands on learning, a focus on conversation, social skills and wellbeing....and lots of fun!  We can't wait for Magic Monday  at Sacred Heart!

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

Notes to Year 3 families whose children are baptised Catholics, regarding making their First Reconciliation were sent out last week. I will need to order stoles for each candidate during week 1 of next term, so I ask that all notes be returned as soon as possible.

Reconciliation will be held on the evening of Wednesday 30th of October.

HOLIDAY FUN

Here are some links to ideas for the school holidays for fun and entertainment - there are a range of things offered in the Darebin area and also in and around the city these holidays as the weather warms up.

Some are free and others have prices listed - there are a range of activities to enjoy!

I hope the holidays provide time for fun and relaxation and a chance to recharge...and a break from packing lunchboxes!

Take Care,

Kate
