Year 7 News

Holidays

Year 7 teachers would like to wish all our students a happy, safe and relaxing holidays. Students are encouraged to use this time to recharge and come back ready to learn and grow as you all complete the first year of high school.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thanks to all the Year 7 parents and students who took time out to meet with teachers last Wednesday. We hope you found this day valuable. It is important that students take the time to reflect on their learning by understanding any areas for improvement and things they are also doing well.

Lockers

Students are reminded to clean their lockers before Friday. This includes any loose paper or food scraps which will encourage unwanted guests and/or smells.

Hats

A reminder for all Year 7 students that hats are a requirement for term 4. If students have their hats at home, they will need to be brought back to school for term 4. If students are needing a new hat, they can purchase one from the front office.

Football and Netball

Several of our students have been or are still involved in local football and netball finals. We wish everyone luck if they are participating this weekend, and we hope they all do their best as well as enjoy the experience.

Best and Fairest

Junior vote counts for Wimmera and Horsham District Leagues for both football and netball have concluded. The year 7 team would like to congratulate Gretel Blake (Natimuk United) for winning the under 13s netball best and fairest for the District League and Ruby Bethune (Horsham Saints) for winning the under 13s netball best and fairest for the Wimmera League- huge congratulations to both talented girls.

State Netball

Another huge congratulations to Mrs Mckenry and the group of girls who travelled down to Melbourne and represented our school at the School Sport Victoria State Finals coming in the top 4. What an incredible result and you all should be super proud of your efforts. Thank you to the support of the travelling parents who made their way down to encourage on the day.
