Principal's Report
Ms Meg Woolford - Acting Principal
With the successful appointment of Shannon Argall to the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning role beginning in Term 4, I am very happy to announce that Liam Price will be the Acting Assistant Principal – Year 7 & 8. This is a great appointment for the College, and I am confident that Liam will do an outstanding job with the support of the Principal Team, the School Improvement Team and the Year 8 Student Engagement Team.
Last week we held our annual R U OK Day. The focus of the day is to ensure we all understand the importance of reaching out to both those we know and don’t know to check whether they “R OK”. This small action can mean so much for many of us, and whilst it should be something we always feel confident in asking and answering, it is not always the case. Supporting one another and demonstrating our value of care is not something that should be taken for granted.
In Term 4 2024, families with a student/s enrolled in a government school from Prep to Year 12 in 2025 will receive the one-off $400 School Saving Bonus.
The $400 School Saving Bonus provides families with support for education-related costs, such as school activities and/or school uniforms and textbooks. Further communication to families will be sent out in the coming weeks.
The most important action for parents is to ensure that we have the correct email and mobile phone number linked to your contact details. Please ensure that we have the correct details and reach out to a member of our Administration Team if you require any support.
A reminder that the College expects all students and staff to wear our College hats in Term 4. Please make sure to find your hats and have them ready for what is expected to be a warm spring and summer.
Finally, I would like to wish the College community the very best for the upcoming holiday period. I hope you are all able to spend some time with loved ones and have a restful break.
