Year Five - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that the last day of Term 3 is coming up. We are proud of all the effort the students have put into their learning throughout the term. The children have experienced an amazing term full of wonderful activities and events. The students thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the Year 10 students on Thursday as they discussed leadership. The activities created by the Year 10 students were enjoyed by all the children.
Next weeks learning;
Mathematics: Students will continue developing their understanding of shape, focusing on symmetry, shape rotation, reflections, and translations. They will be given various numberless problems to demonstrate their understanding of shape.
English: Students will continue reading the class novel, Kensuke's Kingdom, while focusing on persuasive writing and sentence construction, particularly writing a single paragraph outline (SPO).
Religious Education: Students will complete their post-assessment on the Sacramental Church. We have been thoroughly impressed with the understanding they have developed this term. Students will also begin a pre-test for Term 4's unit on Catholic Social Teaching.
SEL: Students continue their learning about Positive gender relationships.
Integrated Studies: Students will learn how dramatic action & meaning is communicated in fairy tales.
Auslan: Students will complete some assessment on their learning during the Term. Ask your child to teach you some of the signs that they have learnt.
