Year 7 Update

As we move into the final week of Term 3, the Year 7 students continue to shine with their bright enthusiasm and open-mindedness. It has been wonderful to see them embrace every opportunity that comes their way, whether it's in the classroom or through the many extracurricular activities they are involved in. Our word for the term, resilience, has truly resonated with the students. From debating to music and a variety of other pursuits, they have consistently demonstrated resilience and a positive attitude, all while maintaining a strong focus in their classes.

Last week, students engaged in activities for R U OK? Day, learning the importance of checking in on others and what it takes to be an active listener. They also explored where to find support when needed, both within and outside our school community, reinforcing the importance of looking after their own mental health and that of their peers.

At the beginning of Term 3, the students engaged in a goal-setting workshop, learning how to set meaningful and achievable goals. This is a skill we look forward to revisiting at the start of Term 4, as we continue to encourage them to reflect and build on their goals, pushing themselves to reach new heights.

I am excited to see what the future holds for our Year 7s and to witness their growth as they take on even more opportunities in Term 4.
