Variety Bash

Hi All,
My name is Mark, I am the Facilities Manager. You would have all seen me walking around the place fixing things, moving things.
Outside of school for the past 8 – 10 years have been fundraising for Variety, The Children’s Charity. Variety are helping kids in a few ways such as, new bike, new computer, books and new wheelchairs. This is just a small portion of what Variety do. It is a charity, so rely onoutside fundraising, with money raised going directly to the children. My way of fundraising has been involved with the Variety Bash, which means driving a 30-year-old car across the country, usually dressed up in a costume. Last year we dressed as Roman Centurions, and our car raised over $17,000. I have put a couple photos from last year when we stopped a couple of schools along the way. I didn’t get to travel this year (due to family commitments) but I know a number of friends who did and in total the Variety Bash 2024 with 84 cars in allraised over $1.6 million dollars.
Lately you may have noticed me going through the rubbish bins, picking out recycling containers. I am putting all this money back to Variety, and last term have raised over $225. I will continue to do this, hoping to make $500 by years end.
With Thanks and with your support
Mark Lau
