We're Back!

It was great to walk around the school these past couple of days and see all the smiling faces return to school. Our Year 6's look fantastic (and very grown up) in their new uniform with the colours matching our school logo. The uniform fits well, and the students picked a great design to help commemorate their final year of school. 

We are placing another order with the supplier (as some duplicate items were missed on our end), and families have until Friday 7th, February, to complete an additional order form if you would like. A Compass post was sent on Thursday explaining this process in detail, and we expect the order to arrive in early March.

The new sports tops that all Year 5 students have purchased are equally as impressive. These were handed out this morning at our Inter School Sports practice session, and they look great. These tops are reversible, and depending on what team students are in, they will wear either gold or blue. If you would like a new sports top, they can also be ordered until next Friday, 7th February.

Little Learners Love Literacy

Little Learners Love Literacy (LLLL) has officially commenced this week, and the F-2 team are super excited to dive into this program. LLLL is an explicit, sequential literacy approach for teaching students to read, write and spell. This program will be new to all our F-2 students and teachers, so it will take a few weeks for everyone to get used to the changes and structure of LLLL. Importantly, LLLL is an evidence-based program that meets the Department of Education's requirement of at least 25 minutes of daily phonics instruction. We will keep you updated over the coming weeks.
