Memorial Day Service
On Friday, 7th November, we celebrated our annual Memorial Day, where we honour the names of people who have had a lasting impact on our school community.
This year, we had to move the liturgy into the shed due to a swarm of bees visiting our beautiful trees just prior to the start. Thanks to the great efforts of our Year 6 students and a dedicated group of staff, we were able to begin the celebration smoothly.
We also added a name to our memorial wall this year: Ben Janssen. Ben was a long-term parent at the school, spanning 19 years. Throughout those years, he supported the school generously by volunteering for school fetes, the Deb Ball, and many other events. We would like to thank Michelle for sharing stories about her husband Ben.
We extend our gratitude to the families who joined us for this special celebration of remembrance.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Fr Jake for leading us so beautifully and once again creating such a moving ceremony.
Year 1 Unit Mass
Last Friday, our Year One students celebrated their Unit Mass. We are proud of the way all students participated so respectfully and thoughtfully. A special mention goes to those who read and carried out their roles with care and confidence.
We also congratulate Mia Shannahan, Laura Flood, and Lucy Wade on becoming Eucharistic Ministers. This is an important step in their faith journey, and we look forward to seeing them serve in this role during our whole-school celebrations.
