LEAP 

We are very fortunate here at Great Ryrie to be able to offer multiple opportunities to students through our extension program to be challenged, enhance their skillset and participate in a variety of competitions which showcase their exceptional skills in a variety of academic areas. 

We would like to congratulate and acknowledge the students who represented our school in the Year 5 & 6 Maths Olympiad competition. In particular Lenny P, Ella M, Ethan T, Thomas M and Xander V who all finished in the top 20% of all schools across Australia and New Zealand. 

Congratulations also to the students from Years 3 & 4 who participated in Great Ryrie’s first ever Maths Explorer team. This team showed us each week their thirst for knowledge, excitement and resilience when facing new challenges. They exceeded all expectations and as a team and individuals set a high standard for future teams. Special mention goes to Jason G, Riley K, Yuvaan B, Luke E and Clay M for each scoring either 17/20 or 18/20 across the duration of the competition. Incredible achievement by all. A very special mention goes to Leo Y who is the first student in Great Ryrie history to obtain a perfect score of 20/20! We are so incredibly proud of you Leo!

In addition, Great Ryrie was offered an opportunity for nominated students to participate in a Gifted and Talented testing trial run by Cambridge University. Congratulations to the following students for their participation: Leroy L, Jason G, Alma W, Clay M, Riley K, Isaac B and Leo Y.
