F-6 Italian Day - Tuesday 18th November
We are celebrating all things Italian on Tuesday 18th November and students from Foundation to Year 6 are invited to come dressed in Italian colours or as a famous Italian person.
The Canteen will have yummy Italian pizza and pasta available on the day.
There will be Italian colouring activities in the Library at lunchtime.
Students can bring a gold coin donation to be tossed into our mock Trevi Foundation (all proceeds will go to Socktober).
School Commencement Dates for 2026
Please note the following commencement dates for the 2026 school year.
Friday 30th January - Foundation, Year 7 & VCE students to commence
Monday 2nd February - All other students will commence
Overdue Library Books
The end of the year will be on us in no time. Do you have any overdue library books that need to come back to the Library?
We would really appreciate any overdue books being returned before we start our stock take. Often students know where they are, they just need a little help remembering to put them in their bags! Please have a conversation with your child(ren) and ask if they have any overdue books. We would love everyone to be borrowing some of the great new titles just in and sharing around the resources that we have.
Early Collection of Students
To help us maintain a safe and well-organised environment for all students, we ask that families follow the process outlined below when arranging an early collection for their child.
Please do not message your child directly as they are not permitted to access Personal Digital Devices while at school and so will not see your message. All communication with students needs to go via the College Office.
Communicating with Staff
We have the privilege of meeting with parents and connecting with families on various occasions across the year. At St Augustine’s College, we deeply value these opportunities to strengthen our partnerships and work together in support of our students. We recognise that parents are the first educators of their children and play a vital role in shaping their behaviours, both positive and challenging. Open and honest communication is key to fostering a supportive school environment and we are grateful for a parent community that shares our commitment to nurturing each child’s growth and development.
We ask that parents engage in conversations with our staff with respect, trust in our processes and support the follow-up actions necessary for their child’s development and wellbeing. Similar expectations exist in many other organisations and by working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can continue to provide a safe, positive and thriving learning environment for all.
Our staff are on site and available during the following times:
Monday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Friday: 8:15am - 3:45pm
However, whilst these are the working times, our staff are busy organising and planning lessons, teaching classes and/or engaged in relevant staff meetings. We ask that if you wish to make contact with your child’s teacher, please contact your child’s TA for a meeting.
Communication via email is also appropriate during work hours, however please allow staff up to 48 hours to respond. We thank you for your consideration in this matter.
