Group 1

This term’s theme on “Under the Sea” has got our little learners very excited and enthusiastic in engaging with different play and learning activities about the sea and the sea animals. These activities include colouring in sea animals, 'I Spy Under the Sea' interactive story, sea animals' songs and dance and teacher-led group games. A highlight of this term is the Rockpool Incursion which provided hands-on and interactive experiences and allowed our learners to directly interact with live sea creatures such as a sea urchin, sea star, sea cucumber, shark egg with baby shark, sea slug, sea biscuit, sea horse and cowfish.
Social and play skills have been the focus for this term to promote positive peer engagement with the emphasis on sharing and turn-taking. They have enjoyed games such as the Happy Duck, Toilet Game, Fishing Game, Feeding Whale and Shark with Little Fishes. Happy Duck game has been everyone’s favourite! It has been wonderful to see the progress Group 1 has made in playing together as a group, sharing, taking turns, and expressing their thoughts and feelings as they participate in the abovementioned games. Well done everyone!
With the weather warming up, our active explorers have also been enjoying outdoor play time with peers - beautiful smiles, cute giggles, fantastic play and lovely friendships. Get ready for water play with sea animal toys beginning next week!
Stay tuned Group 1 for more fun!
