From the Principal

Dear Families,
What a wonderful celebration we shared on Friday for our Grandparents and Special Friends Day! There was a joy-filled buzz around the school as we joined together for Mass, took part in thoughtful classroom activities, and enjoyed a cuppa and a chat.
Our children were absolutely delighted to have their grandparents and special friends with them — the smiles said it all! Thank you to everyone who came along and to those who helped make the day so special. You are such an important part of our St Liborius community, and we loved celebrating with you.
Year 3 and 4 Camps and Excursions
Our Year 3 and 4 students are full of excitement this week as they head off on their camps and excursions! These experiences are such an important part of school life, helping children to build confidence, resilience, and independence, while also strengthening friendships and creating wonderful memories.
A very big thank you to all the staff who give up their time to support these experiences — we know how much the children appreciate it. Our staff also value these opportunities to connect with students in a different setting and see them shine beyond the classroom.
A special word of thanks to Mrs Webb for her time, organisation, and care in coordinating these events. We are so grateful for the effort that goes into making camp week such a success.
Parking Around the School
A friendly reminder to please take extra care when parking around the school. We’ve had several reports from neighbours about cars parking across residential driveways over the past week. Please remember to park only in the designated bays and help us look after our neighbours by keeping access clear at all times.
The parking bays around the school have been carefully designed to ensure safety for all. When cars stop in non-designated areas, it can put both students and property at risk. Bendigo Council parking inspectors have also been monitoring the drop-off and pick-up zones this week, so please be mindful when stopping or parking.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school and neighbourhood safe.
Bendigo Cup Public Holiday
A reminder that Wednesday is a public holiday for the Bendigo Cup. This is perfect timing for our students — especially those returning from camp — to rest and recharge before the end of the week!
With many blessings,
Alannah Darmody
