From St Mary's Leadership Team

Half Way Mark
It’s been a busy and exciting time at school, filled with lots of learning, play, and smiles all around! Our students have been exploring new ideas in the classroom, getting creative in art and other projects, and having fun with their friends during playtime. Now that we’ve reached the halfway point of the term, it’s lovely to see the enthusiasm, progress, and positive energy of our students shining through every day.
Planning for the 2026 school year is well underway. Could we ask any families who may be relocating and will not be returning to St Mary's School next year to contact the office staff as soon as possible.
Semester 2 Reporting
At present, class teachers are writing student reports for Semester Two. Parents will have the opportunity to access these reports through the parent portal during Week 9.
St Mary's Fete 2025
The school fete was held last Saturday, and fortunately, the rain held off, giving us a beautiful day to come together as a community. The grounds were filled with a variety of stalls, fun activities, and delicious treats for everyone to enjoy. The camels were a hit again, delighting students and families alike! A heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful Parents and Friends Association for their incredible organisation and support, as well as to all the staff, students, and volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to make the day such a huge success. Your dedication and enthusiasm truly made the fete a memorable celebration for our school community!
Year 6 Operetta
Year 6 Operetta practices are well underway! Our Year 6 students, along with their teachers, are putting in a tremendous amount of effort and enthusiasm to make the performance truly memorable. A reminder that the operetta will be held on Wednesday, 3rd December—we look forward to seeing everyone there to support our talented students!
Beach to Bush
Our classes recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Beach to Bush team to the school. This visit provided a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about and discuss water safety, an important life skill. Through engaging activities and discussions, students were able to deepen their understanding of how to stay safe in and around water, ask questions, and reflect on safe practices during swimming and water play. It was a highly valuable experience that combined learning with fun, leaving students better informed and more confident about water safety.
End of Year Presentation Assembly
Our End of Year Presentation Assembly will be held on Monday 15th December commencing at 1.30 pm in the Cathedral. Families are welcome to join us for this assembly.
Christmas Assemblies
We are excited to come together as a school community for our upcoming Christmas Assemblies on Tuesday 16th December. Families are warmly invited to join us on the day and enjoy the wonderful performances our students have been preparing.
- Stage 1: 9.15am

We can’t wait to share these special moments with our school community! Add it to the calendar.

Wearing our Uniform with Pride
Thank you parents for ensuring your children wear the correct uniform. It is very evident that we take pride in our presentation.
Maintaining a high uniform standards is an important part of our school's identity and plays a significant role in fostering a sense of pride and respect for our school.
Our uniform identifies St Mary's School within the community and develops a sense of school spirit and belonging within the student body. Some specific uniform requirements, such as shoes, hats, hair and jewellery, are directly related to student safety. The wearing of the correct school uniform is compulsory, and students are expected to arrive wearing it daily, ready to learn. Families are asked to ensure that each item of clothing is clearly labelled.
We thank you for your partnership in this important aspect of school life.
